Questions

The things prospects ask first.

What kind of organizations is Monolith built for?
Behavioral-health provider organizations — typically 5 to 200 clinicians — delivering rehabilitative services, skills training and crisis support under managed Medicaid. It is not a general-purpose EHR for hospitals or primary care.
Which states does Monolith support today?
Monolith is built for managed-Medicaid behavioral health nationwide, with pilots live in states including Kansas and Minnesota. The state-specific pieces — assessments, prior-auth forms and administrative-code rules — are configured per state, so bringing on a new state means adding its templates and payer setup, not rebuilding the platform.
Is Monolith HIPAA compliant?
Yes. PHI is handled under Business Associate Agreements, encrypted in transit and at rest, and every state change is written to an audit trail with IP and device capture. Access is controlled by role plus 200+ granular permissions, with 2FA and known-device binding.
Does Monolith handle billing and prior authorization?
Yes — billing is a peer to clinical, not an afterthought. Monolith generates EDI 837P claims to Office Ally, reconciles 835/277CA responses, checks 270/271 eligibility, and runs the full prior-auth cycle with automatic write-back of approved hours to the treatment plan.
How does the AI work — and is my client data safe?
AI is used for narrow, specific jobs like diagnosis suggestions, compliance scoring and note drafting, through HIPAA/BAA-covered providers. Every call is logged, and outputs are always advisory — nothing is applied to the record without a human reviewing and approving it.
Do clients and guardians get access?
Clients and LARs get a secure portal to exchange messages, review their services and e-sign — access is staff-provisioned, never self-service. Monolith is primarily the provider organization’s system of record, not a consumer app.
